Apartment
- Elamang Ave Kirribilli
From it's conception, this Kirribilli
apartment suffered from poor planning and light access to the Living
areas. Although large doors were provided onto an expansive Balcony,
little consideration was given to a connection with the interior
and hence much space was wasted. With the removal of a number of walls
and minor structural changes, the planning was allowed to re-orientate
toward the sun and view. Living and Dining spaces were amalgamated
adjacent to the Balcony and a new Breakfast and Television area was
created behind sliding timber screens. An integration of Kitchen and
Laundry into a series lime-washed timber and marble joinery units
further rationalized the available space and resulted in a more open
usable apartment. |
